[eWeek] Spyware Floods In Through BitTorrent . Pel que sembla, la client i protocol per a la compartició de fitxers P2P BitTorrent està, literalment, sent envaïda pels distribuïdros de programes espies:
According to Chris Boyd, a renowned security researcher who runs the VitalSecurity.org nonprofit resource center, the warm and fuzzy world of BitTorrent has been invaded by a massive software distribution campaign linked to New York-based adware purveyor Direct Revenue LLC.

In an e-mail interview with Ziff Davis Internet News, Boyd said rogue files have popped up occasionally in BitTorrent land but those were usually just random executables. "This is the first time I've seen a definite money-making campaign with affiliates, distributors and some pretty heavy-duty adware names," he added.

This is a short story about using a couple of computers, some interesting tools, an operating system and a bit of thinking to solve a not-entirely-artificial problem of getting wireless internet access where measureas are in place to stop it. Both the technical side as well as some of the reasoning behind the actions are explained.

La màquina ja està a la seva nova ubicació de Barcelona, amb una mica més d'ample de banda. En total el trasllat, incloent-hi el desplaçament i el cablejat telefònic i de l'ADSL... tres hores i mitja.
Tot just arrencar la màquina, he rebut l'allau dels missatges que estaven en cua :) L'actualització del DNS ha estat ben bé instantània.
Ara a veure si hi ha alguna cosa que no funciona.
